01 — Getting Started

Installation & Setup

Purchase and download Firehawk FPV through the Steam Store. Once purchased, it will appear in your Steam Library. Click Install, and Steam will handle the rest. Make sure you have at least 12 GB of free disk space.
Minimum: Windows 10 64-bit, Intel i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 1060 / AMD RX 580, 12 GB storage. Recommended: Windows 10/11 64-bit, Intel i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 16 GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 2070 / AMD RX 5700 XT.
Start with the in-game tutorial which covers basic flight controls, combat, and drone customisation. After that, we recommend joining the Discord #controller-setup channel where veteran pilots can help you dial in your settings.
Yes! Firehawk FPV includes an interactive tutorial that walks you through flight mechanics, weapon systems, and the upgrade loop. It's accessible from the main menu at any time.

02 — Controls & Input

Configuring Your Setup

Firehawk FPV supports full FPV transmitters (via USB or dongle), standard game controllers (Xbox, PlayStation, and generic), and mouse & keyboard. FPV transmitters provide the most authentic experience.
For a full guide on setting up your FPV transmitter — including USB connection, calibration, stick mapping, and troubleshooting — visit our dedicated Controller Support page.

Yes. All control inputs can be fully remapped in Settings → Controls. This applies to all input methods — FPV transmitter, controller, and keyboard/mouse.
If your controller or FPV transmitter isn't being detected, our Controller Support page covers common fixes including driver updates, USB port troubleshooting, and dongle compatibility.

03 — Technical Issues

Troubleshooting

Verify your game files through Steam (right-click → Properties → Installed Files → Verify). Update your GPU drivers to the latest version. If the crash persists, check for crash logs in the game's install directory and report them via the bug report form.
Lower your graphics settings in-game, particularly shadow quality and post-processing effects. Ensure no background applications are consuming GPU resources. For VR-ready rigs, performance should be smooth on High settings at 1080p.
Use the #bug-reports channel on our Discord server, or visit the Steam Discussions bug report thread. Please include your system specs, a description of the issue, and steps to reproduce it. Screenshots or video clips are very helpful.

04 — Gameplay & Progression

Missions, Drones & Upgrades

Death resets your current run, but permanent upgrades, unlocked drones, and discovered blueprints carry over between runs. Each death makes your next attempt stronger through the meta-progression system.
New drones are unlocked by completing missions and destroying enemies to gain points and spending it at the drone workshop between runs. Some drones require reaching specific wave milestones or defeating certain bosses.
Survival Mode is an endless wave-based challenge where difficulty escalates with each wave. Compete against other pilots on the global leaderboard. It's unlocked after completing the first story mission.
